Luxury Yoga & Astrology New Years Retreat:

Oaxaca City & Puerto Escondido, Mexico

February 17-23, 2026

OVERVIEW

The inspiration for this retreat was born from deep purpose to serve our clients on their journey of healing, growing, and self-empowerment. The New Year brings new energy, new ideas, new opportunities to be directional about your life. Taking the time to dig deeper during this time is integral to setting forth your co-creative powers. This retreat is designed to help facilitate the processes that will allow you to gain clarity and knowledge about your truth so you can make more aligned choices. We will begin each day with a gentle yoga class followed by breakfast and workshops in astrology and personal development.

Then we will explore the city of Oaxaca to the fullest enjoying all the history, culture, and divine dining available to us. We will visit a mazcalaria, dine in the best restaurants, and check out the art scene and textiles stores that Oaxaca is known for! After a few days in the city it’s time to hit the beautiful beach area of Puerto Escondido where we will be staying in a gorgeous hotel on the water. Here, we relax and enjoy nature. We will deepen in self-care with massages, relaxation, and sunset cocktails on the beach. Additionally we will partake in the natural offerings of the area with a boat ride to see the whales, dolphins, sea turtles, and bioluminescence along with checking out the local towns and indulging in delicious Oaxacan cuisine.

YOU CAN SIGN-UP FOR EACH PART OF THE TRIP SEPARATELY IF YOU WANT TO JOIN US FOR JUST OAXACA CITY OR PUERTO ESCONDIDO.

THE AREA

Oaxaca has been recognized as one of the best cities to travel to, most recently by Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards 2025, where it was ranked 21st globally, building on previous honors including being named best city in the world in Travel + Leisure's 2023 World's Best Awards. Oaxaca is celebrated for its rich culture, historic architecture, vibrant markets, indigenous traditions, and especially its renowned cuisine

Oaxaca City, Mexico, is special because it seamlessly blends rich indigenous culture with vibrant colonial architecture, creating a unique and colorful atmosphere that captivates all who visit. Known for its exceptional culinary scene, Oaxaca boasts traditional dishes made with locally sourced ingredients like mole and mezcal, reflecting centuries of culinary heritage. The city is also a cultural hub, hosting numerous festivals, artisan markets, and museums that celebrate Zapotec and Mixtec traditions. Surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, including mountains and valleys, Oaxaca offers a tranquil yet lively environment perfect for wellness retreats and personal growth. This combination of cultural depth, natural beauty, and authentic experiences makes Oaxaca City an inspiring and meaningful destination.

Puerto Escondido, Mexico, is renowned for its stunning beaches, world-class surfing spots like Zicatela Beach, and a laid-back coastal vibe that attracts travelers seeking both adventure and relaxation. The town offers vibrant local markets, fresh seafood cuisine, and opportunities for turtle watching along its shores. Beyond the mindful yoga practices and intentional breathwork designed to release limiting patterns and ignite personal growth, guests can indulge in luxurious massages that soothe and rejuvenate the body. The adventure continues with a private boat ride, offering an unforgettable opportunity to watch whales, dolphins, and turtles gracefully navigate the coastal waters. As night falls, a magical bioluminescence tour immerses participants in the glowing wonders of the ocean, creating moments of awe and reflection.

ACCOMODATION

Cuisine

Oaxacan cuisine is renowned for its rich and diverse flavors, deeply rooted in indigenous traditions and local ingredients. It is famous for its complex moles, which come in a variety of colors and flavors, from the rich and spicy mole negro to the lighter, tangy mole verde. Corn plays a central role, often prepared as tamales or tlayudas—large, crispy tortillas topped with beans, cheese, and meats. Oaxacan cheese, known as quesillo, is a staple in many dishes, while chapulines (roasted grasshoppers) offer a unique local snack. The cuisine also features ingredients like chocolate, mezcal, and fresh herbs, making it a distinctive and authentic culinary experience.

We will be dining at the best restaurants in both areas of Oaxaca including having a mole tasting and a mezcal tasting. Diet restrictions are accommodated.

activities

On this wellness retreat, participants will engage in daily astrology and yoga classes designed to deepen their connection to mind, body, and spirit. Alongside these enriching sessions, the itinerary includes a tour of Oaxaca City to explore its vibrant culture and history, a visit to a mezcalaria for an authentic tasting experience, and a scenic boat ride to observe the coastline and diverse marine life. Guests will also have time for shopping in charming local towns and a captivating tour to witness the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence. These activities, combined with much more, create a holistic retreat experience that nurtures wellness and adventure in equal measure.
